Operates point of sale system, reconciles tills and daily sales, processes exchanges and returns, and assists with opening and closing the store. Serves in a lead capacity over other employees and provides day-to-day direction. Designs appealing displays, replenishes stock, and inventories stock and sales rooms. Delivers effective customer service, fulfills order requests, performs overrides and voids, and mitigates escalated customer services issues. Reports suspicious activity to avoid inventory shrinkage.

Candidate will open and/or close store. The essential functions includes:
Excellent customer service skillsAttention to accuracy and detailsBasic computer data entry skillsProduct knowledgeProcess online salesAssisting customers with selection of merchandiseSupervision of student workers as well as assigning tasks to student workersEnsure that student workers are following customer service standardsAbility to operate standard retail equipmentAbility to process variety of transactions such as cash, checks, bankcard, panther funds, gift certificates cards, University requisitions, credit memos, and bookstore accountsThe incumbent will receive, stock and merchandise product daily and be responsible for maintaining the sales floor. The ability to transport up to (50) pounds, spend many hours moving about the store. Participation in off-site events, incumbent is required to work 22.5 hour per week along with Saturday, Sunday, Holiday and overtime hours will be required as needed.
