Valley of Fire is an internationally known, high-visitation park, averaging more than 900,000 visitors per year. This position will be the on-site manager of Valley of Fire State Park's day-to-day gift shop operations and will serve as the direct supervisor of staff. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for scheduling and training all staff. Primary duties include operating and utilizing the Point of Sale (POS) system to process sales, managing physical inventory, analyze sales data, receive merchandise, and balance received orders to packing slips. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring market trends to ensure the merchandise is stocked, working directly with vendors to place orders of products and to create new site specific products, ensuring deposits are completed, performing physical inventory, and reviewing inventory reports to establish the appropriate price mark up on merchandise. This position will ensure that the gift shop and the stockroom are kept clean and organized, with product displays being attractive and shopper friendly.
