The Retail Strategy Manager drives the cross-category product strategies, and site commercial and marketing relationships focused on Disney Cruise Line, Disney Signature Experiences, and World Showcase with support for Walt Disney World Parks.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Retail Strategy

This is a Full-Time role

What You Will Do

Develop cross-category product strategies to support Walt Disney World and Disney Signature Experiences inclusive of major new initiatives, new build locations, celebrations and anniversaries, synergy, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, resorts, and other domestic offerings as assigned.

Influence strategies with detailed knowledge of the cross-category product needs, guest and demographic data, and market trends.

Coordinate the quarterly kick-off sessions and hindsight sessions with the Product Development teams in partnership with Planning and Location Strategy.

Lead relationships with Site-specific Commercial and Marketing teams to understand and capitalize on Site initiatives to drive commercialization of merchandise-specific initiatives.

Lead relationships with Corporate Alliances and Operating Participants to improve the Park's value.

Work with the Franchise team to develop strategies to support key franchise and alliance initiatives.

Lead ongoing analysis of results, in-season performance, and trends to improve business results and support future decisions.

Develop positive relationships with cross-functional partners and bring partners along for the journey so communication and function are seamless in the product development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications & Skills

5+ years of dynamic experience in Merchandise or an analytical role.

Experience in Merchandising/Planning for vertical specialty retail environment.

Experience working with multiple partners in commercial, marketing, planning, buying, and visual merchandising.

Demonstrated ability to manage revenue creation while maintaining brand integrity.

Strategic problem solver with the ability to drive execution against a financial plan.

Demonstrated social skills and ability to influence a diverse audience including experience working with external partners and business owners.

The ability to build & cultivate partnerships across functions & departments within The Walt Disney Company.

Well-developed Communication & Analytical skills.

Proven track record of thinking creatively and disruptively to bring and infuse new insights into the business.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Business, Finance, Retail Management or related fields or equivalent experience.
