Job Description

TITLE: ANIMATOR (1 Year Contract)

JOB SUMMARY
As an Animator at Ubisoft Mumbai, you will be responsible for creating high quality animation. These animations may be created using Motion Capture or Keyframe. You will collaborate with Animation Supervisor, Realization Director, Narration and Cinematic Designers and other animators within the studio as well as work together with different Ubisoft studios across the globe. 

As part of a multinational group that specializes in player-facing products, you will have the opportunity to bring value to the Ubisoft communities and have direct impact on millions of players from the first day.  

NATURE OF SERVICES:

Prototyping and working with both keyframe and motion capture data.  Creating high quality animations of characters (body and facial), cameras and objects.  Understand capabilities of the engine in order to anticipate the appearance of animations in the game.  Maintaining regular connect with Cinematic Designers, Character Artists, Scripters, FX Artist, Props Artist, Lighting Artist and Sound designer to deliver quality scenes. Contribute to design and produce high-quality gesture animation banks (dialogue systems). Master dialogue animation systems and participate in their improvement. 

   

THE PROFESSIONAL VALUE YOU BRING:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Animation/Art or equivalent.  4-6 years of experience in videogame animation or equivalent. Experience with animation software such as Motion Builder, 3ds Max or Maya.  Strong knowledge of realistic character movement, facial conveying emotions and good sense of film language and cinematography (staging, camera movement etc.). Excellent in key frame animation and experience working with motion capture. Ability to collaborate effectively with other stake holders of the project. A noticeable demo reel with a breakdown of your best work. 
 

NICE TO HAVE:  

Experience of one full game development cycle will be an added advantage. Understanding of version control tools and project management systems. Knowledge in any commercial game engine will be a big plus.
