The Role
As an actuarial analyst on the Retirement team, you will develop and apply your consulting, technical, and project management skills in the areas of retirement plan valuations, design, compliance, and risk and financial management for all types of retirement plans, such as defined benefit, defined contribution and retiree medical. You will participate on teams that help organizations of varying sizes align with their retirement programs to their company objectives.
Accepted applicants will be eligible for a comprehensive exam study program, including paid study hours and exam coaching, to assist them in attaining the accredited designation of Fellow.

In this role at WTW, you will join client teams and partner with consultants on diverse projects, including:
Pension and post-retirement medical valuations Benchmarking analysis of benefit plan designs Designing and implementing retirement plans Experience studies Asset/liability modeling Financial reporting Administration, including tasks such as completing benefit calculations, reviewing plan documents and producing benefit statements Strategic consulting with respect to financial risk management, compliance and governanceThe Requirements
Bachelors or Master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance or any other major with significant quantitative course work Commitment to attaining the designation of Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed client standards Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, as well as cooperatively in a close team environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel Proficiency in English and French, both written and oralEqual Opportunity Employer
