We currently have an opportunity for a Retirement Plan Advisor to join the team in our Rockville, MD office.

The selected individual will be responsible for building strong relationships with key retirement plan clients within the Mid-Atlantic Retirement & Private Wealth (RPW) team. The successful candidate must be a detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop sales strategies consistent with overall goals and business objectives for the firm.Track and maintain sales goals, identify cross-selling opportunities, and employ consultative sales process.Maintain sales funnel; track new prospects and review incoming prospective plans.Follow up on new leads or warm prospects as identified by advisor; use lead advisor to close plans as necessary.Work closely with RPW leaders and advisors on retirement plan client service and interaction:Lead and manage the client relationship for 20 - 40 clients, including:Schedule and hold review meetings with the Retirement Committee membersProactively and timely prepare internal reports, spreadsheets, and analysis on client service needs to reveal opportunities for advice and counselCoordinate with the Client Service Associate to prepare the review materialsComplete follow-up items and documentation post review meetingProactively complete special projects and requests as neededGenerate reports with detail and precision across key data points, including industry statistics, client-specific usage and success metrics, and other areasProvide consultation and advice to clients and retirement committees across numerous retirement plan-related topics, including:Fiduciary governance and oversightInvestment due diligencePlan design and strategyVendor/Recordkeeper managementEmployee education and engagementInteracts in a professional manner with third-party service providers including mutual funds companies and others building our strong, positive reputation in the industry.Prospective client sales and service supportParticipate in prospective client introductory and sales meetings (with Principals) to discuss and present role on the team and our holistic service modelMeasure, track, and maintain accountability for specific goals, both individually and as a team

Qualifications:

5+ years of financial services or employee benefits experience, including any knowledge of retirement plans and investments preferredSeries 65 registrationIndustry designations, such as the AIF®, CPFA®, or NQPA™, preferredExceptional customer service experienceExcellent verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skillsProficiency with technology including Microsoft Office suite and CRM systemsAbility to interact with people across all levels of the businessStrong attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skills

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
