Title: Manager, Plan Design

Location: Hybrid

The Plan Design Team provides document and regulatory services for Retirement Solutions. The Plan Design Specialists focus on providing consultative services for qualified retirement plans, including but not limited to, pre-sale support, post-sale support, document design, amendments, restatements and regulatory changes. The Plan Design Specialists utilize their ERISA knowledge and experience to design a plan or make recommendations that meet the company’s goals and objectives. The Plan Design Specialists work closely with associates in Plan Administration, Plan Implementation & Conversion and Reporting & Testing.

What You Will Get To Do:

Manages and leads the plan design team, ensuring adequate staffing levels, promoting employee training and development, and ensuring compliance with company human resources management policies and programs and/or improving workflows.Communicates with client(s) regularly. Identifies and responds to sensitive client issues and problems; resolves problems, by explaining procedures or systems capabilities. Participates in the development and achievement of department goals in conjunction with upper management; implements strategies and procedures to improve service levels, productivity, and the cost-effectiveness of department operations; monitors results, and keeps management informed. Implements new plans and/or enhances existing plans by coordinating resources with internal and external resources.Ensures training and development of direct reports. Monitors performance: evaluates and adjusts training needs as necessary; provides frequent and regular feedback.Directs the preparation of quality and productivity status reports for upper-level management; provides detailed analysis and recommendations.Provides input to the budgeting process as directed by the officer. Operates within approved budget guidelines, controls operating costs, and makes recommendations for reducing expenses; prepares periodic status reports for management.Manages and performs special projects, including Year-End.

The Impact You Will Make:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience requiredMust have at least five years of retirement service Management experience.Exhibit expertise and knowledge of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and related Department of Labor (DOL) and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations.Subject matter expert in plan design and documentation language, including having familiarity with prototype and volume submitter documents.Thoroughly comprehend all plan types, including 401(k), profit sharing, money purchase, 403(b), 457, and cross-tested plans.Solid computer skills and general knowledge of qualified plan systems like TRACStrong communication skills - Ability to communicate concisely and effectively verbally and in writingPrepare detailed plan reviews and discuss the workflow with internal and external parties.Analytical and problem-solving skills - Displays keen attention to detail in analyzing and evaluating issues and providing expert guidance regarding actual and potential problems.Able to work in the local office 6 days per month – REQUIRED
