Retread Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n\tFirst step in the manufacturing process.\n\tQuality inspector - determines if a tire is able to go through the Bandag retreading process.\n\tMake sure casings are free of foreign material such as dirt, sand, tags, staples, water, and tire sealant. Remove all embedded objects such as rocks, nails, and bolts. Inspect the casing for damage.\n\tIdentify and mark for repair all visible penetrations through the liner or casing.\n\tExamine beads for damage or distortion beyond Bandag repair specifications.\n\tCheck to see if injuries are within repair guidelines.\n\tMark all unsound repairs correctly for replacement.\n\tCheck for tire damage due to operation while flat or under inflated, weather or ozone cracks deeper than 2 mm, and radial or diagonal cracking on casing sidewall\n\tCheck for bulges or cracks in the ply turn-up area of the casing.\n\tComply with Bridgestone/Bandag Specifications and Guidelines at all times.\n\n

\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE\n\n\n\tHigh School degree or GED\n\n
\nREQUIREMENTS\n\n\n\tAbility to work in a fast paced, demanding environment.\n\tStrong attention to detail.\n\tMust be able to work independently and in a team environment doing other job duties.\n\n
