About the Role

The Reuters – NABJ Fellowship Program offers nine months of photography experience in a Reuters U.S. bureau. This fellowship, open to members of the National Association of Black Journalists, is part of the Reuters Early Careers Program. Participants develop skills in photographing stories and daily assignments that show our clients and the world what is happening on the streets of the U.S.

 

About You

We seek emerging photojournalists who are committed to a career in visual journalism, can generate story ideas, and work in a fact paced newsroom across a spectrum of stories. The successful applicant must be open to learning and have the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Please include a link to your portfolio that showcases both news and feature story coverage.

 

Successful fellows will have already had some training in the basics of journalism. As members of the visual team, they will be mentored by some of our finest photographers to deliver news stories to Thomson Reuters’ high standards. Some previous participants in this program have moved into full time assignments with Reuters in locations around the world.

Reuters: The Real World in Real Time

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $30 - $40.
