The Promotions Team Lead is responsible for developing and implementing promotional strategies that align with business objectives and drive growth. This role focuses on creating and analyzing promotional levers to maximize revenue while ensuring non-dilutionary practices. The Team Lead will oversee the end-to-end analytics process, including evaluating historic offer performance, substantiations, and revenue KPIs such as incrementality, to guide data-driven decision-making. Acting as a strategist, approver, and influencer, the Promotions Team Lead plays a key role in shaping the organization's promotional strategy and achieving long-term revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute promotional strategies aimed at maximizing revenue considering inventory levels across North America Operations. Optimize existing promotional levers to extract greater value from current inventory, segmenting based on distribution channel, product, car class offering, etc. Oversees, with guidance, the approval of effective discounts and marketing messaging across all growth segments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Enhances tools, tracking mechanisms, and processes to improve promotional efficiency and measure incremental revenue contributions. Track all current and upcoming promotions in the market, ensuring everything is well-organized, staying on top of timelines and results to support effective execution. Collaborate with Rates & Services ensuring systems and functionality to execute are setup properly; identifies and resolves any issues in testing environment before promotion is launched to market. Meticulously reviews and ensures all promotional parameters are accurately defined before being deployed; including approval of T&Cs which are vetted through Legal. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to deliver actionable market insights from Revenue Management data, focusing on assessing promotional performance, uncovering trends, and optimizing strategies to enhance campaign effectiveness and fuel overall business growth. Partner closely with Sales, Marketing (Brand, Paid Media, Loyalty, eComm), Partnerships, Distribution (OTAs), and Revenue Management to deliver comprehensive insights on promotions and market trends, ensuring alignment across teams and driving data-informed decision-making.Skills:
Comprehensive understanding of the industry, market trends, and competitive landscape. Proficient in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing large datasets to relay actionable competitive insights via promotional levers. Highly cross-functional influencer with communication/storytelling skills at all levels; Is able to stay organized and show progress on several promotional campaign performances. Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, simplify timelines. and deliver results while maintaining alignment with strategic objectives.Educational Background:
Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent required; preferably in Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or Information Engineering. Advanced degree in aforementioned fields of study strongly desired.Professional Experience:
3+ years previous experience in a revenue management and/or market research role Experience within a complex, demand/supply planning environment utilizing large data sets Process innovation and development; management via KPIs
