WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will provide proactive financial support and management information to the Americas Finance leadership team. This may include ensuring timely and accurate process, analysis and reporting of the full revenue cycle for a group of clients and affiliates. The Financial Analyst role can also focus on Profit & Loss (P&L) cost analysis, including budgeting, long-range forecasting, and variance tracking. 

You will review commercial and legal terms in client proposals and contracts to record revenues in financial system and maintain internal database with essential reference information. Set up new case codes and communicate to case manager and others based on established procedures.You will plan and coordinate client invoicing based on info provided from revenue forecasts, staffing system data, expenses incurred and client contracts. Prepare timely client invoicing, manage client expense balances, facilitate receivable collections and manage requests for additional detail and analysis.You will support Manager in review and analysis of pipeline opportunities, staffing levels for client case codes, price realization, revenue cycle trends or other issues as needed. You will prepare analysis for finance or office leadership and/or partner client account leaders related to client revenues and receivables over time, by industry, category, etc.You will assist in preparation and analysis of operating expense budgets and capacity forecasts. Work with select Cost Center Managers and Staffing Managers to support the planning process, determine cost drivers, manage actual costs and explain variances. Compare costs to benchmarks and internal best practices then recommend appropriate cost levels.You will analyze monthly forecast to actual variances and trends. Identify drivers, concisely summarize and report findings.You will assist in preparation of analysis and presentations for management meetings. Work in partnership with Finance management to weigh alternatives, develop and recommend solutions to financial and operational issues.You will prepare and maintain Excel based models to forecast and analyze costs.You will perform special projects and other duties as assigned.


ABOUT YOU

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Math, Engineering or Business Administration (Finance & Accounting majors) with high academic achievement plus the ability to handle highly confidential information in a professional, mature manner.


Excellent organizational, analytical, and quantitative skills with an aptitude for problem solving as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills. Very strong proficiency with Excel (specifically financial modeling & data aggregation, lookups, macros) is needed. Computer proficiency in Word, Outlook, aptitude to develop PowerPoint skills, also required.


Also, should be an enthusiastic team player, productive working independently or as part of a group.


U.S. Compensation Information 

Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below). 


Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:


In Illinois state, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $63,500 - $75,500 placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level 


For all other locations, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is commensurate with competitive geographic market rates for this role and will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level


Annual discretionary performance bonusThis role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
