Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Revenue Cycle Coordinator in CLEVELAND, Ohio. This role is within the healthcare industry and requires the individual to manage various aspects of the revenue cycle process including patient admissions, insurance verification, and pre-billing functions. The workplace is a dynamic environment where the focus is on maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient processing of applications.
Responsibilities
• Managing the identification of new hospice care admissions for specific teams
• Responsibility for the verification and documentation of patients' primary and additional medical insurances in the electronic medical record
• Setting up and maintaining patients' primary, secondary, and other identified coverage in the electronic medical record as per the requirements of the payers
• Investigation and verification of patients' medical insurance benefits when these benefits undergo changes
• Coordinating the process of Financial Assessment and Payment Agreement for uninsured patients
• Processing Medicare Notice of Elections as per established procedures
• Analyzing and auditing the Level of Care against the location of patient service
• Performing pre-billing functions in accordance with established procedures
• Coordinating the Residential Room and Board process with Social Workers at Inpatient Units and processing room and board Payment Agreements, charges, payments, and refunds as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Allscripts software for efficient data management
• Familiarity with Cerner Technologies to streamline workflows
• Ability to use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) for data communication
• Experience with EHR SYSTEM for effective health record management
• Proficiency in Epaces for electronic claims processing
• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Experience in managing appeals and resolving discrepancies
• Knowledge of Benefit Functions to ensure accurate employee benefits administration
• Experience in Billing Functions to ensure timely and accurate billing
• Proficiency in Claim Administration to manage and process claims effectively.
