Position Overview
This position is responsible for managing the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process and
RCM teams. This position will also work closely with the Sr. Revenue Cycle Manager to focus on
key department and company-wide initiatives resulting in improving efficiencies, productivity,
and the patient billing experience.
Essential Functions
• Provide leadership and direction while ensuring a high level of accuracy on daily functions of
Customer Service, Prior Authorization, PT Billing, Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, Coding,
and Medical Records
• Pro-actively respond to escalated issues as it relates to patient reimbursement, obtaining prior
authorization for services, claims, denials, and appeals processing, billing, and coding
• Act as the primary point of contact for the RCM supervisor, team leads, and team members
• Mentor, coach, and develop RCM supervisor, team Leads, and staff
• Analyze reports to review and track trends as it relates to revenue cycle processes and tasks to
include decreases in AR; denials; unbilled credit issues; holds; take-backs; communicate with
staff, clinical operations and providers to educate on reporting trends and findings
• Responsible for establishing and updating RCM policies and procedures
• Acts as in-house RCM expert for the practice
• Provides education and training for revenue cycle teammates, clinical operations staff, as well as
providers
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance through conducting 1:1s and other meetings as needed
• Communicates effectively across departments to accomplish strategic and operational goals
• Respond to and resolve patient inquires and complaints in a timely manner
• Responsible for teammate hiring, coaching, development, performance evaluation, and
disciplinary functions
• Pro-actively escalate issues and conflict to the Sr. RCM Manager as needed
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with other RCM supervisory colleagues
• Demonstrate effective managerial and supervisory skills
• Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external working
relationships
• Must demonstrate an above average ability to communicate effectively both orally and in
writing
• Must demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion
• Other duties as assigned.
RequirementsAssociates Degree
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Revenue Cycle Management (Orthopedic surgery preferred)
• 5 years in a Lead/Supervisor position
• NextGen practice management system experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills to effectively partner with physicians,
patients, company leaders, and team members.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong ability to multi-task and handle stressful situations.
• Ability to organize and prioritize
Pay Information: $96,200.00 to $133,300.00/annually
