THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will participate in the forecasting of revenues and analysis of legislation, regulations, and policies relating to the Commonwealth's budget. This analytical and technical work is performed under the guidance of a supervisor and involves selecting data sources for use in revenue forecasts and analyses, proposing methodologies for use in fiscal analysis, and selecting data for developing population samples and statistical or econometric analyses. You will have the opportunity to assist with the design and development of quantitative and structural models for use in determining estimates of the revenue impact of proposed, pending, or existing legislation and regulations as well as the drafting of statistical and analytical reports for internal and external stakeholders. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time after successful completion of in-office training. Per Commonwealth Policy, full-time telework requires working one day per month in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ A Master's Degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, public administration or a related field;or
+ One year of technical experience in revenue forecasting or appropriate statistical and fiscal analysis and a bachelor's degree including 30 credits in economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science or a related field;or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
+ Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

+ This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
