Revenue Integrity Manager - Revenue Integrity
*POSITION SUMMARY* The Revenue Integrity (RI) Manager proactively identifies revenue integrity and process improvement opportunities and partners with Corporate Revenue Integrity leadership to develop and execute these plans. The Revenue Integrity Manager performs a critical role in the success of revenue integrity, the capture of entitled revenue, and guidance and direction to the revenue integrity staff, as well as coordination of clinical departments within the IDN. Under the guidance of the Revenue Integrity Director, the position fulfills a critical leadership role. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of Division revenue integrity operations and ensuring alignment with and execution of corporate initiatives. The Revenue Integrity Manager will continue to grow and adapt as required to achieve Health First’s vision of a world-class revenue cycle. *PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES * 1. Lead and manage Revenue Integrity Team to implement and execute Revenue Integrity goals, roles and responsibilities 2. Collaborates in the development of programs, initiatives, and workflows, which provide alignment with education for internal customers to support clinical documentation guidelines 3. Manage risk assessments, support the development of action plans, and monitor service line performance improvements based on clinical departments’ execution of improvement initiatives. 4. Establish, measure, and document KPIs and mitigation plans as needed, including Revenue Integrity Scorecard improvements and other quality controls needed to successfully monitor and control charging and billing integrity. 5. Identify trends based on CDS information and oversee Revenue Integrity team’s root cause analyses and action plans to support necessary workflow modifications and/or educational opportunities. 6. Ensures staff members are knowledgeable about documentation needs and coding and reimbursement issues identified through documentation reviews and aggregate data analysis 7. Support IDN growth goals and revenue integrity optimization by developing methods to effectively communicate information through presentations, reports, educational programs, memoranda, etc. by providing formal and informal education to leaders and staff in other disciplines on revenue integrity topics. 8. Document, escalate, and manage issues that arise and impact Revenue Integrity operations, standardization, and optimization activities. 9. Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to accomplish desired outcomes. 10. Develops policy and procedures; educate stakeholders/clinical department on revenue integrity functions as needed. 11. Independently lead, manage, monitor, and control revenue integrity projects as directed. 12. Volunteers for team assignments; actively participate in team projects and implement changes. *LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTABILITIES* 1. Contribute to and support the strategic direction, and demonstrate financial acumen, for areas of responsibility and organization. *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or relevant field. * Work Experience: Three (3) years of Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience, focusing in one or more of the following areas: Coding, Charge Integrity, Charge Reconciliation, Charge Compliance, Chare Auditing, CDM Compliance, and Hospital or Professional Billing. * Licensure: None * Certification: Any one of the following: o Relevant coding certification (e.g., COC, CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, etc.) OR o Licensed Allied Health Professional (e.g., RN, RD, RT, MA, EMT, etc.). * Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: o In-depth knowledge of compliance regulations as they relate to documentation, coding, and billing requirements. o Thorough understanding of revenue integrity processes and their impact throughout the revenue cycle. o Competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to complex business challenges. o Ability to influence key stakeholders at various organizational levels. o Strong leadership skills; able to work both independently and as part of a team. o Exceptional verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills. o Effective at adjusting to change, prioritizing duties, and handling stress. *PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS* * Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Knowledge of Healthcare Revenue Cycle. *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* * Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping. * Long periods of computer time or at workstation. * Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance. * May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise. * Communicating with others to exchange information. * Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks. * Workspace may vary from open to confined, onsite, or remote. * May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle. *ABOUT HEALTH FIRST* At Health First, diversity and inclusion are essential for our continued growth and evolution.
