Job Summary This position contributes and supports revenue integrity’s mission towards creating a multidisciplinary revenue integrity team to strengthen the interface between clinical departments and charge improvement process. It is a holistic approach that guides the organization toward achieving operational efficiency, complete regulatory compliance, and total reimbursement. This is a hybrid position.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understand CPT/HCPCS codes, Uniform Billing Codes and the Outpatient Ambulatory Payment Classification System (APCs). We are seeking a registered nurse with CPT coding knowledge to ensure accurate compliance and quality control. In addition, this individual must be dependable, pay close attention to detail and possess strong communication (verbal and written), planning and organizational, and customer service skills. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience The ideal candidate will possess general knowledge of a Charge Description Master (CDM) and purpose. Understand the CPT/HCPCS code to Uniform Billing relationship, as well as the units or quantity per code description where applicable. A strong background in Medicare Outpatient Prospective Payment System with emphasis on modifier assignment and supporting documentation.
