Revenue Manager

Annual Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

SUMMARY
To maximize revenue, profit, and market share associated with rooms and Manage the processes associated with demand, revenue, forecasting, opportunity analysis, and inventory management. With the hotel's leadership, determines and manages hotels sales strategy and pricing for transient and group. Identifies future market and hotel opportunities and effectively communicates through the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrate critical thinking and complex understanding of general hotel/resort operations, hotel revenue management strategies, hotel room sales and yield management
  Analyze, report, and communicate complex key performance indicators to stakeholders with authority on information
  Maximize revenue and market share through inventory management, pricing, business opportunity analysis, demand projections and revenue forecasting
  Develop, communicate and implement sales strategies and modify as market conditions fluctuate; update stakeholders on any new processes and procedures
  Monitor and communicate fluctuations in occupancy to operational departments so they can effectively manage staffing requirements and increase efficiency
  Monitor competitor rates, positioning, strategies and data; maintain understanding of the dynamics of the local and regional markets and demand generators and present action plans to drive market share
  Monitor RevPAR index on STR report and provide critical analysis of performance weekly and monthly
  Lead bi-weekly Revenue Strategy Meeting; formulate and disseminate strategies and tactics and ensure that prior decisions are re-visited in order to evaluate their effectiveness
  Generate bi-weekly critiques, identifying areas of opportunity and strategies to improve revenue and overall profitability
  Manage and communicate group cut off dates using the group rooms control log (GRC) and PMS pick up report to verify pick up to actuals and manage inventory accordingly
  Act as property liaison with third-party partners responsible for promotions and market exposure; analyze ROI on paid placements and OTA marketing programs and load applicable rate plans into the inventory and reservation system
  Collaborate with the Front Office team to maximize revenue through effective inventory management and upselling
  Collaborate with the Reservations team to optimize resort room sales through development and documentation of best practices, tools, and training
  Participate in annual rooms revenue budgeting process
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting business, hospitality or a related field with a focus on auditing or revenue management or a combination of education and experience.
  Minimum 3 years Hotel Revenue Management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a hotel or related field
  Advanced understanding of revenue management concepts, processes, systems, yield management and hotel/resort revenue streams
  Proficient in revenue management software SMS and Ideas preferred
  Proven track record of meeting or exceeding hotel/resort room sales goals or budgets
  Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google platforms; able to create documents, working charts, presentations and spreadsheets
