Job Overview
The Revenue Operational Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance operations for BGIS on the Crown Estate contract. This role will focus on data validation, data input, management of Excel-based tools, labour allocation, engineer time tracking, and work order raising. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely data management across the contract, enabling smooth financial operations and supporting decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
Data Validation & Input Validate and input data into the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Ensure data consistency across all reporting platforms and systems. Excel Management Develop, maintain, and update Excel spreadsheets to track project finances, labour allocation, and other key data points. Perform complex data analysis and provide insights into trends and financial performance. Labour Allocation Support the management of labour allocation to various projects across the Crown Estate portfolio. Ensure that all allocated labour hours are recorded accurately, in line with project budgets and timelines. Engineer Time Tracking Oversee the time tracking of engineers working on the Crown Estate contract, ensuring that time records are accurate and compliant with project requirements. Work closely with the engineering team to resolve discrepancies in time tracking. Work Order Raising Raise work orders in the system as needed, ensuring all relevant data is captured and processed efficiently. Collaborate with the operational teams to ensure that work orders are assigned and completed within the agreed timescales. Reporting & Analysis Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports, providing key insights into budget performance, labour costs, and project progress. Support the team in producing reports for client meetings, audits, and internal reviews. Collaboration Work closely with project managers, operational teams, and finance colleagues to ensure data flows smoothly across the organization. Support cross-functional teams with financial data requests and ensure timely responses.Skills & Qualifications
Experience & Education Proven experience in data management or finance support roles, ideally within facilities management or contract-based environments. Strong working knowledge of Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Experience with financial software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous. Technical Skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Ability to manage large data sets and provide meaningful analysis. Good understanding of financial principles, with the ability to interpret and manage data. Communication & Interpersonal Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams. Ability to explain complex data and insights to non-financial stakeholders. Organisational Skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong time management and organisational skills, ensuring tasks are prioritised appropriately.Working Hours
