The Revenue Support Associate is a pivotal role responsible for streamlining communication with external billing vendors (i.e. eAssist) and ensuring the efficient coordination of revenue cycle management (RCM) activities within a dental clinic environment. This position serves as the primary point of contact between the dental clinic personnel and external RCM partners. The liaison will facilitate dental insurance billing, provider credentialing, and other RCM processes to optimize operational efficiency and support the clinic’s mission of providing exceptional dental education and patient care.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
RCM Support:Collaborate with external billing partner to establish and maintain best practices for dental clinic revenue cycle management.Serve as the primary point of contact for billing and credentialing inquiries.Provide support to dental students and faculty in gathering necessary information for insurance claims and credentialing applications.Utilize RCM software to access and analyze patient and provider data.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to RCM operations, such as insurance collections and accounts receivable balances.Communication and Coordination:Communicate effectively with dental students, faculty, and external RCM service providers.Participate in weekly meetings to review RCM operations, results, and address any issues.Provide regular updates on RCM performance to TCDM leadership.Problem-Solving and Innovation:Identify and resolve RCM challenges, such as missing information, documentation request or processing delays.Implement innovative solutions to improve RCM efficiency and accuracy.Regular review of RCM denials along with missing information and communicate with leadership trends and potential concerns. Bachelor’s Degree required.Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
General knowledge of insurance billing and credentialing processes strongly preferred.Familiarity with dental terminology, codes, and procedures is a plus.Proficiency in using dental practice management softwareStrong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Travel
