Reverse Unit Operator-1 Job ID #: 30014 Location: TX-SNYDER Functional Area: Misc./Trades Position Type: Full Time Experience Required: 1 - 3 Years Relocation Provided: No Education Required: High School Diploma RC/Department: 1068 -CO2-FLD OPS REVERSE UNIT OPS :CO2 Position Description Position Description: Essential duties and responsibilities: + Operate the reverse unit, power swivel and assist with downhole services in accordance with all company policies and procedures. + Ensure proper well control is maintained throughout the duration of the workover or completion. + Assess the condition of the well and identify any hazards or corrective action ahead of the operation. + Ensure that the appropriate tools and equipment are available and provided for all rig functions and activities. + Follow company safety policies and procedures, and adhere to all applicable government regulations. + Maintain detailed and accurate JSA’s and participate in all tailgate safety meetings held on location. + Communicate effectively with the well site supervisor, reverse unit superintendent and rig crew on the operation, procedures and equipment required for the job. + Ensure that equipment and downhole tools are properly maintained per company and manufacturer standards. + Perform general shop labor maintaining reverse units, power swivel and downhole tools as required. + Position level commensurate with experience and skill sets. + Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Competencies, skills, and abilities: + Previous experience operating a reverse unit and power swivel preferred. + Must have a satisfactory driving record as determined by the company, and a valid state drivers license. + Must be able to effectively communicate with people inside and outside of the organization. + Ability to multi-task, problem solve and maintain organization. + Must be able to maintain an accurate tubing tally on all tools and equipment ran in to wellbore. This refers to company owened tools and equpment as well as third party equipment and tools. + Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors) and lead personnel, focus attention on details, follow work policies and procedures, and adhere to established work schedules. + IADC Well Control certification required. + Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job. + Working Conditions/ Physical Demands: + May be required to work after hours, weekends and holidays. Work is normally performed in daylight hours, but nighttime work is sometimes required. + Must be able to drive and work in all weather conditions including extreme hot or cold. + Depending upon the location and workload, travel may be required. + May be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools, and reach with hands and arms. These are tasks performed repetitively throughout the day. + While performing the job you will be required to lift and carry, pull or push, reach, squat, kneel. All of these tasks are performed frequently and consistently throughout the day. + Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs at times. + Must be able to maneuver products 100 lb. and over with the assistance of safety devices such as hoists/winch or hand carts/dollies. + Must be able to consistently lift a minimum of 20 lbs. at times in awkward positions. + Physical dexterity, hand/grip strength, depth perception, and any other physical attributes that enable the employee to perform the job safely. + Ability to use hand tools and equipment, repetitive hand use requiring grasp and twisting motions.
