About the role

This position, Reward Manager, is the subject matter expert on the reward topics preferably in Greater China (including Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong) and Japan as well-- responsible for delivering total reward programs aligned with our global reward philosophy in that market. Working in concert with the global Reward COE, this position will also help lead and/or participate in strategic transformation efforts intended deliver step-change improvements in our total reward program design and administrative processes.

Role Responsibilities

Leadership Responsibilities:

Act as reward business partner for the respective stakeholders, use analytics to bring insights to stakeholders to drive the business and people decisions. Demonstrates deep business knowledge, participates in discussions and leads training sessions with executives and understands fundamental business drivers needed for successImplements total reward programs (i.e. base pay, incentives, benefits, etc.) aligned to Diageo’s global reward philosophy & strategy and delivering against our employee experience vision.Ensure the market competitiveness to attract the best talents. Manage the annual competitive pay analysis using market data and global pay proposition parameters to develop salary ranges for the market.Completes job levelling / job pricing reviews utilizing global grading methodologyResponsible for local benefit plan design, , compliance and vendor managementKeeps abreast of trends and best practices in industry through membership of HR societies, and industry compensation & benefits forumsMay lead and/or participate in global total rewards projects that involve development and/or re-design of existing total rewards programsServe as the subject matter expert for escalated issues from HR shared services and/or payroll

What You Need To Bring To This Role

Relevant experience in total rewards / compensation & benefitsWorking knowledge of relevant regulations in marketPossesses strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with ability to generate insight from data and generate action plans from insights.Strong analytical, project management and presentation skills.Fluent in English and Mandarin, both verbally and in written formHave exceptional consultative skills and be able to influence action and change with stakeholdersAn ability to listen but also persuasively convey opinions and recommendationsHave an understanding of the component parts of HR to understand how it is possible to deliver a high quality service to a client groupAn ability to work in the most confidential situations gaining trust and respect from stakeholdersStrong self-starter who is eager to learn and has the tenacity to follow through on assigned projects to successful completion.Displays excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and builds relationships with key stakeholders within the business functions and HR team.Candidate must have advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc...)Familiarity with Workday, Mercer and Willis Towers Watson’s Global Grading System preferred
