Rewards and Incentive Product Manager

The Product Manager for Rewards and Incentives (“R&I”) will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing health-focused rewards and incentives programs that drive better health outcomes, improve member engagement, and increase program participation. This role will involve working closely with clients and cross-functional teams to design reward and incentive journeys, develop innovative incentives that encourage healthier behaviors, support chronic disease management, promote wellness, and increase member satisfaction. The ideal candidate will leverage data to continually refine and improve these programs to meet health goals while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements. Further, this position will oversee and manage the strategic development roadmap for the R&I product. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Rewards and Incentives Strategy and Vision: * Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the rewards and incentives product offering that promotes a positive member sentiment and motivates members to engage in health-improving activities (e.g., preventive care, physical activity, medication adherence, annual screenings). * Collaborate with Client Advisory and cross-functional teams to ensure product performance aligns to client and business needs. * Stay informed of regulatory guidelines, member activation trends, and client needs to continuously improve the R&I product offerings. Program Development and Management: * Lead the development of health-based incentive programs, including eligibility criteria, reward structures, and redemption methods. * Design reward structures that promote positive behaviors such as preventive screenings, vaccinations, wellness check-ups, or fitness goals. * Work with clients and partners to ensure the incentives encourage behaviors that align to clinical best practice, quality parameters, and patient experience. * Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews with clients to provide status and performance updates for continuous improvement and client satisfaction to inform the continued advancement of the R&I product. Cross-Functional Collaboration: * Lead partner to clients’ marketing, member services, and technology teams to create seamless experiences that integrate rewards and incentives into the member journey. * Work closely with the analytics team to define personalized campaigns, including member personas, actions, channel and messaging to increase the impact of the campaign and drive measurable improvements in health metrics. Data-Driven Insights and Reporting: * Use data analytics to track program performance and member engagement. Analyze participation rates, behavioral changes, and health outcomes to evaluate program success. * Regularly monitor KPIs related to health behaviors and member satisfaction, such as improved clinical outcomes, increased adherence to treatment protocols, and higher program enrollment rates. * Provide data-driven recommendations to clients to optimize reward offerings, identify gaps in engagement, and ensure the program delivers value for both members and the client. Customer Experience and Satisfaction: * Ensure that the member experience throughout the rewards process is seamless, engaging, and easy to navigate, from program enrollment to reward redemption. * Work with clients and user experience (UX) teams to design intuitive interfaces for health program portals or mobile apps, making it easy for members to track their progress and redeem rewards. * Partner with clients to facilitate member feedback and conduct surveys to understand their satisfaction and to refine incentives product and programs based on their preferences and needs. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: * Ensure that all rewards and incentives programs comply with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and other relevant healthcare compliance standards. * Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure that rewards offerings and data handling practices adhere to privacy and regulatory requirements. * Stay updated on changing healthcare laws and incentive guidelines that affect product design and program structure. Continuous Improvement: * Evaluate the effectiveness of the rewards and incentives programs using ongoing data analysis, making adjustments as necessary to enhance engagement and drive better health outcomes. * Implement A/B testing or pilot programs to assess the impact of new rewards structures, incentive models, or delivery methods. * Innovate by exploring new technologies, platforms, and partnerships to deliver more meaningful and impactful rewards to members. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations affecting Company. * Responsible for participating in quality assurance, compliance and in-service and continuing education activities as requested by Company. * Responsible for performing other duties and responsibilities as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Educational Background: * Bachelor’s degree in health administration, Healthcare Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus. Experience: * 3-5 years of experience in product management, preferably in member journey management, member activation or health/wellness incentives. * Experience with designing or managing health-related incentive programs, such as wellness programs, chronic care management, or preventive care initiatives. * Knowledge of health behavior theory, member engagement strategies, and healthcare outcomes. * Proven track record in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive successful program outcomes. Skills: * Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions and measure program success. * Understanding of healthcare operations, quality measures, and value-based care models. * Familiarity with healthcare data platforms, CRM systems, and engagement tools. * Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. * Strong organizational and project management skills, able to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with healthcare rewards programs that incorporate wellness, prevention, or chronic disease management incentives. * Familiarity with member engagement technologies, mobile health apps, or telemedicine solutions. * Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including CMS, HIPAA, and the Affordable Care Act. * Certification in product management (e.g., CSPO) or healthcare quality management (e.g., CPHQ).
