Rework Operator
(available in 2 shifts - nights and weekends)
JOB SUMMARY
Rework operator physically replaces identified server components or dismantle units and complete transactions through I-Factory and MRB system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by LDT/Manager
Rework of visible defects from servers returned through IRMA process.
Rework debugged servers on debug technician’s instructions.
Work with Debug team to dismantle obsolete servers and help with controlled return of parts .
Be involved with Kaizen events and other process improvements.
Perform basic fixes of failed test servers (clean and reseat dims, CPU’s) for 1st and 2nd Wait for Post fails (reseats),where time is available and training provided
Good knowledge of all server assembly.
Work effectively with debug, and quality teams.
Pull necessary material from Inventory Control team to allow reworks to be carried out, through agreed process.
Visually inspects parts for proper insertion and placement.
Utilizes bar code scanners and small hand tools.
Conduct physical inventory in the designated area, when requested.
Actively participates in team activities/projects, communicates effectively to team, attends team meetings, and displays a high level of teamwork (e.g. 5MM)
Always maintaining 5S order and cleanliness.
Work with LDT to ensure all documentation is current and correct (e.g. LPA sheet)
Ensure quality (work meets or exceed Jabil workmanship Standards ) 0 fails at QC.
Fill out daily logs and other paperwork as required.
Ensure assemblies are properly handled and marked.
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your LDT or manager
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Essential criteria
Minimum Leaving Certificate required or equivalent. May substitute experience in lieu of educational requirements.
Minimum Operator II level with a minimum of 6 station certifications in Server area, preferably QC is one of those stations.
Computer literate with good PC skills.
Good knowledge of iFactory and production process
Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
Good planning & organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
Proven ability to meet deadlines.
A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.
Desired criteria
Certificate in Manufacturing Technology / Mechanical Engineering / Electronical / Electronics / Mechatronics /Computer Science
Experience in electronic manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Previous electronics rework experience.
Experience in process improvements / lean manufacturing activities in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
