The Wahpeton, ND location is seeking a Rework/Repair Operator to join our team.

Job Description

HOW WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Rework/Repair Operator is responsible for performing various tasks including repairing belts, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting, and ensuring nonconforming materials are properly handled. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strict adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards to ensure the final product quality meets the customer’s specification.

 

Inspection and repair of rubber belting products as possible to ensure fit/form/function and comply with customer expectationsSet up and operate all equipment according to company procedures, standards, and work instructions.Follow all processing, measuring, packaging, and shipping procedures as directed.Comply with all safety rules and regulations and maintains a clean, organized and safe work environmentUtilize the NCR as a quality metric and improvement toolAssist in the closure of NCR’s, and dispositions of repaired rolesAssist in determining nonconforming materials in quarantineFollow up on Corrective Action submissionsPerform inspections and audits on materials that potentially will or wont be repairedVerify inspection report data and report accordingly any disposition or repairParticipate in the preparation of ISIR and PPAP documentationParticipate in the examination, evaluation and disposition of warranty items and rejected materialsMay occasionally be required to reroll matrices as well as roll length verifications as secondary dutiesPerform any other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

Internal Applications OnlyHigh school graduate or equivalentMust be able to pass the forklift certificationBasic slitter operation may be required as part of regular job dutiesWorking knowledge of quality policies, programs, methods and proceduresKnowledge of products, applications and customer requirements/peculiaritiesUnderstanding of ContiTech production capabilities and limitationsStrong analytical skills and problem-solving abilityDemonstrated ability to work in a logical, systematic mannerPrompt attention to and effective follow-through on all production quality concernsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and to plan, organize and complete duties in a timely manner
