Requisition ID: 74420 Job Description The Mobile Solutions team located in Irvine is home to Skyworks' design center for RF front-end solutions, power amplifiers, switches and controllers for GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WLAN and WiMAX applications. It has a challenging opportunity for a University Student available for a 6-month work term starting in January 2025 to June 2025. As an RF Design Validation/Testing Co-op student, you will apply sound engineering skills to a variety of task and project assignments in the area of electronics, design engineering, and semiconductor component test development. Responsibilities + This RF Design Validation/Testing Co-Op will support RF test evaluation of RFIC's and multichip modules. + The student will perform RF tests, evaluate and summarize results, and present data to design engineers. + The Co-op will also be involved in the design evaluation, simulation and debugging of RF switches, Filters, Couplers, PA's, LNA's and FEM's. Job Requirements + Must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Bachelor or Master Degree’s program, and must be returning to school after the completion of this Co-Op (will not consider graduated students) + Requires background in RF/microwave design. Knowledgeable in RF testing and RF equipment setup. + The person should understand RF parameters and be able to communicate effectively. Knowledge in RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, NF, etc.) is an asset + RFIC Design and Simulation experience will be a plus + Experience in using RF equipment such as oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources + Proficient in data processing and presentation tools such as Matlab, MS Excel and PowerPoint. Good data summary and presentation skills are desired. + Strong proficiency in Excel and data organization. + The student should be a self-starter and enjoy being hands-on. + Excellent communication and presentation skills #LI-DJ1 The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
