Job Description A small start-up company in Aurora, CO is looking for an RF Electronics Technician to join their growing team. This company is developing a new type of antenna for specialized DoD applications. These products are unconventional high-power energy delivery systems. The company is growing through grants made by DoD agencies. In this role, you will be focused on sourcing and assembling high power RF test systems in order to validate antenna designs. You will also be responsible for the conversion and repairs of HF to VHF RF power systems. This is very much a start-up company and culture, but are set to do great things. They have received over $2 million in funding from agencies to complete this work, and are anticipating more over the next year. Skills and Requirements A technical degree or equivalent experience troubleshooting HF and VHF RF systems is required. · Extensive experience configuring and assembling HF and VHF communication systems is required, including expertise in installing ARRL Ham communication systems · Software skills and the ability to program test equipment software interface applications are necessary for different types of test equipment. · Lab View, NI-DAQ, Lab Windows, and NI Instrument studio experience is a plus. · A knowledge of modern electronic circuits and experience designing, building, and troubleshooting electronic circuits and equipment from the pre-1960s are desirable. Older engineers with experience working with pre-1960s equipment are also desired. · Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels. · Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
