RF Engineering Consultant dealing with LMR radio system, software, and programs. Including designing/testing radio code plugs, validating radio and system performance, and evaluating new communication devices.
Complete Description:
Perform technical work in the field of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and wireless communications systems engineering, design and implementation. Responsible for program review, compliance with licensing regulations, requirements gathering, design review, change management, and final acceptance of systems. Duties can include RoIP system engineering and radio code plug design/programming. Conducts short and long-term planning to meet communications requirements. Performs hardware/software analysis to provide comparative data of performance characteristics and suitability within the existing systems environment
Behavior Characteristics:
BS in EE or Communication systems minimum. Thorough understanding of LMR implementation, testing, optimization, radio code plug development/design/test. Able to work in the ever changing fast pace environment of a 24/7 organization.
