RF Interference Hunting Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and proactive RF Interference Hunting Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating sources of radio frequency (RF) interference in various communication systems. This role requires a deep understanding of RF theory, signal processing, and troubleshooting techniques to ensure the optimal performance of wireless communication systems. Key Responsibilities: + RF Interference Detection and Diagnosis: + Conduct RF interference surveys and investigations in both outdoor and indoor environments. + Use specialized RF testing equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators, direction-finding tools) to identify interference sources. + Analyze and document RF interference patterns and sources to determine their impact on communication systems. + Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: + Collaborate with system engineers and field teams to resolve RF interference issues. + Develop strategies to isolate and mitigate interference sources. + Provide real-time troubleshooting support during interference incidents to minimize downtime. + Signal Analysis and Reporting: + Perform detailed analysis of RF signals to identify unwanted interference. + Prepare reports and documentation outlining the interference issue, diagnostic results, and recommended solutions. + Maintain accurate logs of interference events and actions taken. + Collaboration and Communication: + Work closely with engineering, field service, and technical support teams to implement solutions to interference problems. + Communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders and provide guidance on mitigation strategies. + Conduct training sessions for team members on interference detection and prevention. + RF System Optimization: + Recommend and implement system design changes to reduce susceptibility to interference. + Ensure compliance with relevant RF spectrum regulations and industry standards. + Continuously monitor the RF environment and suggest improvements to enhance system performance. + Research and Development: + Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and techniques for RF interference detection and mitigation. + Participate in R&D projects to develop new methods for detecting and resolving RF interference. Skills & Qualifications: + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
