RF Systems/Electrical Engineer
Job Title: RF Systems/Electrical EngineerJob Description The RF Systems Engineer will participate in and demonstrate excellent capabilities in engineering subjects such as RF, radar, digital design, and analog design. This is an individual contributor role in which the engineer is part of a cohesive team of engineers responsible for communications products for global customers. Responsibilities + Work with engineering team to understand nuances of design, testing, and systems. + Devise the initial concept of the assigned device, component or system, and participate in the overall detailed product design. + Assume minor project responsibility and carry it through various stages of development per established schedule as required. + Ensure that all documentation is accomplished and in proper form. + Assist engineering management in developing proposals for new technical programs which will lead to new or improved products. + Maintain a high level of technical competence and state-of-the-art awareness. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of relevant technical education and experience. + US Citizenship, due to government contracts. + Experience with RF instruments (Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Signal Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, & Oscilloscopes). + Knowledge in RF engineering, RF design, and radar. + High Power RF Design experience. + Proficiency in digital design or analog design (preferably both). + Active Secret Clearance. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Matlab, Circuit simulation, Spice, digital and analog design, and simulation tools. + Prior military experience is beneficial. + Hands-on experience in a lab or field with equipment. + Experience in writing requirements, following through to purchasing equipment and performing installs with customers. + Schematic design experience. Work Environment Work with cutting-edge technology and a team where you can be hands-on with equipment. Strong RF fundamentals such as impedance matching, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth, and stability are essential. Must be able to create schematics and wire lists. Excellent circuit simulation skills utilizing Spice or other simulation tools are required. Problem-solving and lab debugging skills are crucial. Hands-on experience in RF tuning and using RF instruments is necessary. US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
