RF Systems Engineer

KeepTruckin is proud to be a Forbes Cloud 100 company and a 2020 Career-Launching Company by Wealthfront.  About the Role:  As an RF Engineer, you will be a key member of the hardware team by helping to create innovative systems including smart cameras, asset trackers and various other wireless based devices. Approaching challenges with insight and creativity in equal measure, together we will find solutions without compromise to values or quality. Driven by data and quantifiable metrics, you will collaborate cross functionally emphasizing engineering excellence within the team. The Engineering team is looking for passionate, self-motivated individuals to work on overall system performance of multi-radio coexistence for various wireless technologies (Cellular, Wi-Fi, BT, GPS and NFC, etc.). Reporting to the head of electrical engineering. This engineer will be responsible for defining RF requirements and tests plans, perform or lead RF testing and debug, and cooperating with teams to define manufacturing line tests and processes. What You’ll Do:  Design, implement, and measure passive/active RF subsystems, including modules based on wifi, BT/BLE, LTE, GNSS and ISM band technologies and frequencies Be responsible for hardware designs from requirements definition through manufacturing, bring-up, and qualification testing Integrate these systems into the our devices by working closely with antenna designers, electrical and mechanical engineers System budgeting of gain, noise, linearity, distortion, interference, capacity (link budgeting) Debug issues including receiver sensitivity(desense) and radiated power issues Review layout and provide recommendations to mitigate potential noise and power issues Requirements: 8+ years of RF systems experience You have a solid understanding of RF system design including system-level grounding, shielding, isolation and electromagnetic interference mitigation.  You have a deep understanding of RF link budget, Rx gain line-up, Rx AGC operation and optimization techniques for different jammer conditions. You understand RF component characteristics and have experience using lab equipment including spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, and/or packet sniffer. Hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing RF hardware for microwave frequencies You have a BS/MS in EE, physics or equivalent
