DescriptionThis role will report directly to the lab manager and will perform daily activities in support of two RF design laboratories. Tasks will range from data gathering/logging, mechanical assembly, and RF testing. You will be responsible for running tester calibration and verification tests at set intervals and will also assist in the creation of technical procedures for verification tests. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment information in tracking software, as well as handling the movement/scheduling of equipment calibration. The candidate is expected to use manufacturing, test, diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, common hand tools and electrical hand tools.
ResponsibilitiesDaily/IATF Compliance –
Tester calibration (VNA calibration & gathering offset data) Run bench verification tests at a set interval to comply with IATF standards. Maintain results on the server as well as in GagePack Run test station, gather data sets for design engineers, as required. Help develop procedures for bench verification tests, maintain procedures. Assist with various support/maintenance tasks throughout two DRx laboratories. Perform and maintain ESD test and logs. Daily monitoring of humidity. Help implement new equipment tracking methods in GagePack, maintain equipment locations in GagePack. Handle movement of equipment for Calibration and repair.As Required/Periodic/IATF Compliance –
Set up new test stations as required and perform calibration. Support lab cleanliness standards (sorting/organization & cleaning tasks) Support probe station responsibilities, capture EVB de-embed files. Support lab in reworking tasks (support solder rework station benches/equipment, harness/fixture building) Required Experience and Skills High school diploma and 6 years job experience Thorough understanding of RF measurements Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word (MS office) Hands on experience with various RF Test equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc.) Proficient in troubleshooting bench level issues Ability to understand block diagrams/schematics Proficiency in calibrating RF equipment Ability and willingness to work with hand/power tools. Excellent communication skills, ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Excellent organizational skills Physically able to lift test equipment onto test benches, lift 35lbs 42 inches high. Ability and willingness to perform physical labor (building/decommissioning rack testers, moving test equipment, etc.)Desired Experience and Skills Understand automation code (c++, python) Experience with PXIe test equipment BS degree
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $29.33 - $50.96 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
