Rigging and Lifting Program Administrator - Ogden

About the role:

As a Rigging & Lifting Program Administrator, you will shape the material handling, rigging, and lifting programs using regulatory, agreement standards and industry best practices. Substantial involvement in developing policies to identify/reduce hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments; investigate accidents and communicate with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence; provide advice and training on safety protocols.

You will report to the Senior Manager, EHS and be located in Ogden, UT

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the site main contact for rigging and lifting, crane operations, maintenance, and inspections.

Drive the development and deployment of essential rigging and lifting training, procedures, and plans (including operating experience, lessons learned and best practices).

Develop tracking mechanisms for rigging lifting and crane equipment to ensure inspections and maintenance are scheduled at appropriate intervals and are addressed with the appropriate level of urgency. Ensure inspections, maintenance and repairs are completed on time and are documented.

Provide subject matter expertise, assistance, and technical support for rigging and lifting and related issues site wide.

Drives safety first culture. Practice and promote safe work habits and follows safety procedures and guidelines. Promote health and safety awareness throughout the organization though employee communications, participation, and programming.

Qualifications:

4+ years of experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in safety engineering/sciences or similar technical degree.

Knowledgeable of safety regulations and regulatory agency interaction processes related to rigging and lifting operations.

Working knowledge of industry standards related to rigging and material handling including OSHA 1910 and ASME B 30 series. Candidate shall have experience with procedure writing, training development and deployment.

Demonstrated, decision-making in a high demand setting.

Fulfill responsibilities with a global mindset.

Experience in MS Office Suite
