Ring Roll Operator

Under direct supervision, assist with the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines used in production processes. Work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Inspect machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools. Determine and correct minor machine malfunctions. Perform simple routine maintenance and cleaning.

Performance Expectations

 

·      Set up and operate ring rolling machine and induction heater integrated into a production line

·      Tool assembly and installation

·      Changeovers

·      Complete part inspection with use of gauges and datamytes

·      Troubleshooting equipment and rolling process

·      Preventative maintenance on equipment

·      Safety and quality

·      Housekeeping

·      Accurately maintain production paperwork

Desired Characteristics

Previous Manufacturing experience is an asset High School diploma or equivalent Strong mechanical background Computer skills Basic math skills Knowledge of the standard and metric system of measurement Ability to use and read gages Ability to read and understand part prints One to two years of experience in a production environment Ability to work all rotating shifts Ability to work overtime as required Must be willing to learn Work independently and as part of a team
