As a customer focused insurance expert, the Risk Analyst will drive successful policy delivery and service to clients while managing Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners (“AJCP”) property, liability, and construction insurance strategy. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Acquisitions, Development, and Asset Management, to support AJCP’s rapid growth and ensure a cohesive client service experience.

Execution of Client Service

Collaborates with Producers, Account Executives, and service teams to plan, execute, and track customized service strategies for each client

Prepares insurance applications and renewal market submission documentation for property and casualty insurance lines

Builds personalized client-broker relationships through effective communication channels, including phone, email, and in-person meetings

Analyses risk, coverage, and program structure, recommending options and executing coverage changes as needed

Oversees the accuracy of information in client portals and consult with clients on access decisions

Manages the claims process, working directly with brokers and carriers to ensure optimal outcomes for losses
 

Broker Relationship Management

Conducts independent meetings with brokers to fulfil commitments made in the service strategy

Demonstrates knowledge of state regulations and carrier programs necessary for multi-state placements

Communicates with broker regarding insurance, claims, or administrative issues, acting as a liaison to resolve escalated matters

Prepare insurance applications and renewal market submission documentation for AJCP’S property and casualty insurance lines of coverage

Review policy terms and conditions, coverage, insurance limits and retention levels with the Head of Risk Management to make recommendations in support of the company’s risk management strategy

Manages relationships with third-party service providers including brokers, insurers, and consultants.

Develop, implement, and maintain tools to track COIs and key metrics, including insurable values, replacement cost estimates, annual premiums, key policy terms, etc.

Maintain a database of insurance policies and calendar of policy renewal dates and work across departments to understand timing of projects moving through the various phases of construction to completion

Manage the claims process on behalf of AJCP and work directly with brokers and carriers to ensure optimal outcomes when losses occur

Review contractual insurance requirements and make recommendations on appropriate insurance language to various business units

Work with AJCP department leaders and outside brokers to identify value-add opportunities, including cost efficiencies and ways to realize scale benefits as AJCP grows

Ensure premium invoices are properly coded and submitted for timely payment

Assist with compliance processes, including annual audits and construction audits 

Respond to lender, JV, or other stakeholder insurance-related reporting requests

Perform any additional responsibilities that may be required to support AJCP’s rapid growth

Required

Upon hire, Producers License for Fire/Casualty or Life/Health, as appropriate for role

5+ years of relevant experience in a risk or insurance position such as an insurance brokerage firm, insurance carrier, property underwriter or in-house risk manager for a REIT, real estate developer, or other company with significant real estate holdings. Experience with strategic planning and implementation of complex accounts
 

Preferred

BS/BA in Business, Insurance or related field

CPCU, ARM, CEBS or other professional insurance designation related to discipline

Experience working with agency management systems

Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office suite
