What's the role?
As the Risk and Compliance Training Officer on the Bloomberg Risk and Compliance Shared Services (RCSS) team, you will play a crucial role in the analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of firmwide Risk and Compliance Employee Training initiatives. Collaborating closely with the Head of Risk and Compliance Training, the Chief Risk Office, the Legal & Compliance team, Human Resources, and other key business units/groups, you will utilize your expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles to enhance the effectiveness, relevance, and engagement of the Training Program. Your expertise will contribute to Bloomberg’s proactive approach in managing risks.
We'll Trust You To:
• Use your knowledge of adult learning and instructional design techniques to develop engaging and effective training materials, including interactive e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and assessments that meet the needs of a broad range of adult learners from Board members to interns. • Manage training creation and redesign projects, partnering with subject matter experts and vendors to create and maintain course content that is relevant and relatable to employees’ everyday roles and responsibilities at Bloomberg. • Manage training creation across a scope of content ranging from operational risk to regulatory risk. • Continuously innovate and improve training using defined metrics and feedback mechanisms. Refine content and delivery methods based on learner input and changing regulatory landscapes, ensuring programs remain creative, adaptive, and relevant. • Assist in the development and refinement of the annual firmwide Risk & Compliance Training Plan including instructor-led, eLearning, and awareness communication components. Execute against this Plan in partnership with the Head of Risk & Compliance Training. • Think critically to assist in developing management reports that provide insights on program enhancements, training effectiveness, and completion rates.
You’ll Need To Have:
• Bachelor’s degree required • 7+ years of experience in Employee Training and Risk Management or Compliance, preferably at a banking, financial services, and/or large fintech organization. • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, training content development, and curriculum planning that leverages adult learning theories to enhance learner engagement and learning outcomes. • Ability to execute, driving projects to completion while building a network of relationships at all levels of the organization.• Basic knowledge of regulations impacting the financial and technology sectors. • Familiarity with various learning tools and technologies (Articulate Storyline, Camtasia) and learning management systems (Cornerstone).
