**Job Description:**
The Global Risk Management and Insurance team is seeking a Risk and Insurance Manager - Construction to play a critical role in leading and developing Intel's construction risk programs. This position reports directly to the Director of Risk Management and is a key member of the Risk team. This individual is responsible for managing global risk and insurance programs, with a primary focus on large construction insurance programs, including Owner Controlled Insurance Programs, Builders Risk, and Construction All Risk, Property Insurance, and Cargo Insurance. In this role, you will drive strategy for global construction risk management, including insurance procurement, claims management, vendor management, loss control, program design, data analytics.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Structure, negotiate, design, execute, and maintain Intel's construction insurance programs, in alignment with Intel's risk tolerance, including use of risk transfer, self-insurance, and captives
+ Manage relationship with brokers, insurers, TPA, and loss control engineering.
+ Own claims management/processing, supporting business units with analysis, decision making, and management of all claims
+ Ensure robust control processes and compliance, including governance of vendors and service providers
+ Identification and implementation of process efficiency and automation opportunities with our risk management system and other third-party providers
+ Close interactions and collaboration across the organization, driving key business initiatives.
+ Drive data analytics, including benchmarking and industry trends, in order to establish areas for change
+ Anticipate obstacles, manage communication with key stakeholders, including escalations, driving resolutions in timely manner
+ Partner with key stakeholders across the organization
+ The candidate should have strong communication skills to collaborate and influence both functional and local business leaders together with the drive and leadership skills to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our insurance programs
+ Serve as a technical consultant to senior management for construction risk programs
+ Ensure proper financial controls and business processes are in place related to construction risk programs
**Qualifications:**
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel's immigration sponsorship.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ BA/BS in Finance, Risk Management, or related discipline
+ 10+ years of related experience in a large multinational corporate environment with responsibility for construction risk
+ 10+ years leading project management for large, complex projects
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Relevant industry certification
+ Strong executive presence, communication skills, commercial acumen, and negotiating experience - Ability to converse with senior management, external partners, and authorities
+ Solid understanding of insurance carriers, underwriters, captives, and financial markets including relationships with brokers
+ Ability to network across the company, including potential travel internationally to support global initiatives and team management
+ Background in fire safety, loss control engineering a plus, but not required
+ Ability to effectively work across organizations and geographies with tolerance for ambiguity.
+ Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to challenge the status quo

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:
$160,120.00-$226,060.00

**Work Model for this Role**
