The Opportunity:
KBR is on the lookout for a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Project Management Function, with a particular focus on Risk and Schedule Management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing risks and schedules specifically within the Defence sector, covering the complete lifecycle of projects. This role is situated within a key Functional Area of the organisation, necessitating the management of multiple projects that may be both internal and external to KBR.
The successful applicant will need to effectively navigate and prioritise competing demands, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and meet the required standards. Strong organisational skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders will be crucial for success in this dynamic and multifaceted role.
The key responsibilities of the role, but is not limited to:
+ Review and enhance the current Risk and Schedule Management procedures, guidance and tools to ensure fit for purpose aligned with best practice
+ Review and enhance the approach for risk identification, analysis, treatment, and control, using experience and best practice to improve risk management practices
+ Project planning and scheduling support (including origination, monitoring, analysing and reporting) for various opportunities and projects.
+ Demonstrated experience in both enacting risk and schedule management and providing governance to risk and scheduling activities in medium to highly complex projects.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
Essential:
+ Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role
+ The ability to gain or maintain an NV-1 Australian Government Security Clearance
+ Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM), Project Management Institute (PMI) and/or equivalent certification
+ Have a degree in Business, Project Management or related field.
+ ASDEFCON experience
+ Extensive experience in Risk and Schedule Management within the Defence Industry
+ Has experience using Earned Value Management (EVM) from ISO 21508, AS 4817 or equivalent
+ Proficient in multiple software tools such as MS Project and Primavera P6.
