We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk & Compliance Professional to join the IT Risk and Compliance team at Caterpillar Inc.. This role will ensure compliance with the enterprise and business division's ethical standards and examine any non-compliance issues, including the evaluation and examination of the adequacy of internal controls. You will have the opportunity to challenge the status quo and champion new initiatives, collaborate with team members and other teams, and have early awareness of advancing technology and regulations.
What You Will Do:
Design and implement daily procedures and review/assess activities against compliance requirementsIdentify applicable regulations and evaluates impact to Caterpillar ITIdentify existing and potential problemsPerform assessments to verify complianceDevelop procedures to assure continuing compliance with regulationsParticipate on teams to ensure compliance with government standardsAssist IT Professionals in compliance processesDirect and participate in the risk and compliance education of the organization, ensuring ongoing and follow up education including regulations, policies, procedures, and trendsDevelop, initiate, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the business unit's compliance program and its related activitiesIdentify potential risk and compliance vulnerabilities; developing corresponding corrective action plans for resolution of these issues and providing guidance for use in future situationsContribute to design, development, and deployment of Caterpillar’s holistic IT risk reporting solutionsDevelop data standards, policies, and procedures to structure the IT risk reporting frameworkCollaborate closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization in support of the development of the IT risk reporting frameworkCreate and maintain the mapping of IT risk metrics to the risk identification and remediation processesIdentify sources, characteristics, and uses of the organization’s data assets to inform the required IT risk reporting metricsDetermine how to display identified risks in an open and transparent manner, also highlighting any data quality or coverage issues, which allow stakeholders to understand and challenge assumptionsProvide actionable recommendations to critical stakeholders based on data analysis and findingsBased on recognized expertise, provides project leadership to process partners, management, vendors, customers, and project teamsWhat You Have:
Education: 4-year degree in an appropriate discipline and/or equivalent experienceProcess Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processesRisk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situationsAnalytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problemsEffective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviorsRelationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peersProject Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectivesAudit and Compliance Function: Knowledge of major responsibilities and tasks of Audit and Compliance (A&C) function; ability to manage the operation of A&C function in various business environmentData Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a companyTop Candidates Will Also Have:
