Position Overview:As Director in the Multifamily (MF) operational risk function within the Technology & Operational Risk department, you will be responsible for the first line of defense operational risk which is constantly evolving Multifamily’s approach to risk management. Operational Risk includes the following risk domains: Information Security, People, Data Management, Financial Crimes, Compliance, Operational Resiliency, Processes/ Transactions, Models, Technology and Reporting.
The Director will lead a diverse team and enhance and improve an integrated approach for operational risk frameworks and processes based on corporate policies and standards and, where applicable, industry risk frameworks. Our Impact:Engage and collaborate with the process owners to understand their process areas and provide guidance on managing operational risk
Represent MF in operational risk matters across the organization
Foster a risk-driven culture across the division and encourage innovation
Define and lead the governance structures needed to identify, prioritize, and manage operational risk within Multifamily
Manage findings including the remediation of policy-related audit or regulatory findings
Your Impact:Identify and quantify operational risks within Multifamily
Analyze and assess corporate and divisional policies and standards and identify deficiencies
Perform top-down risk assessments
Develop and maintain key risk indicators to assess performance of controls
Prepare ongoing operational risk management reports for the division
Ensure compliance with related operational risk frameworks/programs
Establish linkages with process and risk and control taxonomies
Enhance current process for developing, approving and maintaining policies, standards and directives across the MF Division (First Line of Defense)
Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight for timely and accurate reporting conforming to relevant corporate policies and standards
Qualifications:College Degree and 10+ years of operational risk management.
Sound analytical and communication skills, has the proficiency to think broadly but also be thorough.
Background and demonstrated experience in multiple competency areas of risk management: strategy, governance, classification, identification, testing, oversight, and communication of risk results
Proven risk literacy – has the competence to describe use cases and outcomes, risk sources and management concepts across business and technology domains
An understanding of the Multifamily space and the key topics impacting Multifamily. However, the candidate does not have to be a Multifamily business expert.
Consistent track record of effective leadership, including the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; building teams and consensus; getting things done through others not directly under their supervision; working ethically and with integrity

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $178,000 - $266,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
