About the team
Our Legal, Risk, Compliance and Audit teams ensure we're doing business the right way. They help us balance a healthy risk appetite, so we're empowered to expand our horizons. Enablement within Commercial Risk Management is responsible for defining risk appetite and minimum standards for emerging commercial growth initiatives. We work cross-functionally with our sales, legal, compliance, strategy, and product teams around the globe to find risk management solutions for complex and/or new business models through the development of risk control frameworks. The team strives to empower the business to make swift business decisions with confidence, ensuring that opportunities are safeguarded against known risk threats and ready to address future risks.
About the role:
Payouts was a ~$1T revenue market globally in 2024, expected to grow at high-single-digits over the next 5 years. We are looking for a Risk expert who is ready to evolve the risk framework underpinning Worldpay’s responsible, seamless movement of money across the globe. You’ll join a rapidly growing part of the business, with a critical role to help us grow it even faster with appropriate controls.
You will report into our Senior Director of Commercial Risk Management and work closely with the strategy, sales, legal, compliance, finance, and operations teams. The Risk Director, Payouts and Money Movement will contribute to transformational commercial growth within Worldpay by providing concierge Risk support of strategic sales opportunities and will own the holistic risk management program for payouts and domestic and cross-border money movement. You’ll bring experience in risk management of payouts (ideally international), FX, and money movement including money service businesses and money transmitters.
What you’ll own
Provide concierge Risk support of strategic commercial opportunities particularly those involving payout services.Develop a comprehensive risk management program for payouts and domestic and international money movement.Document risk analysis and controls and evaluate control design and continuous control improvement for emerging Products, Verticals, and Strategic Initiatives.Develop, implement, and maintain systems, governance, and risk appetite documentation.Review significant events and advise business owners of action steps required to prevent future recurrence.Manage specific areas of exposure and work cross-functionally to ensure efficient operations.Participate in strategy and business plan development as a Risk business partner.Identify areas of continuous improvement within the Risk function and across the organization.Develop and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements.Participate in strategy and business plan development.Other related duties assigned as needed.Where you’ll own it
