About the role:
Risk FP&A Analyst will be supporting commodity risk management, the cocoa fair valuation, and cocoa trading profit reporting and analysis. The realized cocoa trading profit and the cocoa fair valuation result are the key drivers of Barry Callebaut’s P&L. This position plays a critical role in calculating and analyzing these key figures of the P&L and balance sheet.
Key responsibilities:
+ Analyze daily position moves, and reconcile hedges with physical trades.
+ Perform price list monitoring and update forecasts as well as monitor call-offs.
+ Update hedge ratios and review outcomes with management.
+ Report on commodity risk positions.
+ Reconcile positions across multiple systems and intercompany.
+ Monitor cover contract conversions (position and valuation impact).
+ Perform the Clarity fair valuation for cocoa in ESC for the inventory and contract book: Run sense checks, and analyze movements against risk positions, market price moves, term structure moves, and realized cocoa trading profits.
+ Calculate and sense check realized and unrealized trading profits for cocoa:
+ Allocate the Cost of Goods sold to material levels based on commodity inventory moves
+ Calculate profits by material group, analyze movements vs prior month and prior year
+ Maintain the mapping of material groups in alignment with the sourcing team.
About you:
+ Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
+ Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
+ 3+ years of experience in a Risk Management role or FP&A role in a commodity trading or processing environment.
+ Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools will be an advantage.
+ Good operational knowledge of MS Office software with advanced Excel skills (Tables, Pivot Tables, lookups variants).
+ Hands-on and detail-conscious work style, committed and accurate.
+ Eager to learn about the industry and the company.
+ Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with stakeholders from different levels in the organization.
+ Excellent team player, collaborative, and prepared to go the extra mile to accomplish tasks.
+ Ability to work reliably, under deadline pressure, and with virtual teams.
