Risk Management Analyst

Johnson Service Group is recruiting a Risk Management Analyst for a great client of ours. This is a direct hire position on site 5 days a week in Clewiston, FL.
Successful candidate will report to the Director of Risk Management, working independently assisting with overall management of comprehensive corporate risk management/insurance program with a concentration on claims management. You will coordinate closely with operations, safety, human resources, and legal while implementing risk management policies and procedures to protect company's assets and minimize liability exposures.
Job duties and responsibilities Critical role ensuring timely and compassionate care for work-related injuries and illnesses. Serve as an in-house liaison for the employee, the organization and the Third-Party Administrator (TPA). Coordinate with local operational management to facilitate return-to-work objectives by providing consultative support to stakeholders with a focus on problem solving and creative solutions. Monitor time missed from work due to work-related injuries and illnesses and verify accuracy of information to meet Occupational Safety & Health Act requirements. Maintain up-to-date case records and notes of appropriate and accurate information in the appropriate applications. Analyze incidents/claims data to determine trends and assist Safety/Operations improve trends. Review medical providers and/or panels to ensure compliance with state guidelines. Review and works with Director of Risk Management to authorize claim settlements and resolve claims. Processes and administers all Workers’ Compensation claims, follows up with injured employees and obtains updates regarding work status and medical appointments. Manages Return To Work Roundtable/program to limit light duty positions to no more than 180 days. Performs quarterly claims audits for the Workers’ Compensation claims program. Manages monthly WC Cost reporting to Business Units. Assists department as needed by handling requests of Third-Party Administrator, legal representatives or other outside third parties. Other projects and duties as assigned. Job requirements and qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field plus 5 years of experience in managing workers’ compensation claims including claims in multiple jurisdictions Professional designation - (e.g. Associate in Claims (AIC), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), or other related claims designations preferred Experience in union and non-union work environments Strong understanding of multi-state workers’ compensation laws and regulations Ability to prioritize and react with appropriate levels of urgency to multiple situations, requests, and events Experience managing a remote workforce Naturally successful in quickly developing relationships, rapport, and trust Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills that positively influence a wide audience Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in verbal and written communications Travel as needed
