Job Description The Risk Management and Compliance Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring our organization's adherence to environmental, energy, occupational safety, mechanical, and electrical standards including the associated operational risks. The role must possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in these areas and be able to lead our compliance efforts effectively. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, developing and implementing risk and compliance programs, monitoring risk and compliance, conducting inspections, investigating and resolving risk and compliance issues, providing guidance and training, staying up-to-date on regulatory changes, representing the company in dealings with regulatory agencies, preparing reports and documentation, and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve a comprehensive approach to risk management and compliance.Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues across environmental, occupational safety, mechanical, and electrical domains.
Develop and implement robust risk and compliance programs that mitigate risks, ensure adherence to regulations, and promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
Monitor compliance of site operations with all applicable environmental, energy, occupational safety, mechanical, and electrical standards, ensuring that our operations align with legal requirements and industry best practices.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards, assess compliance, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Investigate and resolve risk and compliance issues promptly, thoroughly, and in accordance with established procedures, ensuring that root causes are addressed and recurrence is prevented.
Provide guidance and training to employees at all levels on regulatory requirements, compliance expectations, and best practices, empowering them to actively contribute to compliance efforts.
Stay current with changes in environmental, energy, occupational safety, mechanical, and electrical regulations, proactively adapting our compliance programs to meet evolving requirements.
Represent the company in dealings with regulatory agencies, demonstrating a strong understanding of our compliance efforts and commitment to meeting or exceeding regulatory expectations.
Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation on compliance activities, including risk assessments, compliance programs, inspection reports, and incident investigations.
Collaborate closely with other departments, such as operations, engineering, and human resources, to ensure a holistic approach to risk management and compliance that aligns with the organization's strategic objectives
Professional Background
5+ years of progressively responsible experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in the manufacturing, utility, or industrial sector.
Demonstrated expertise in environmental, energy, occupational safety, mechanical, and electrical standards and regulations, including a deep understanding of applicable laws, regulations (DOLE, DENR, DOE and LGU), and industry codes.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders.
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to embrace a culture of compliance.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex compliance challenges.
Proficiency in using compliance software and tools to track, monitor, and report on compliance activities.
Familiar with certifications standards, such as ISO 20000 / 22301 / 27001, 45001, 9001
