The Risk Assessment & Testing Center of Excellence (CoE) is seeking a hard-working and driven professional to join the team! You will support businesses across Fidelity in identifying, monitoring and mitigating risks associated with Fidelity’s growing capabilities supporting alternative investment products. As Risk Management Director, you will identify, assess, and report on significant risks, assist business partners with implementing and maintaining strong controls to improve the control environment for these new capabilities to protect the interests of the firm and our customers.
The Risk Management Director Role
We have set standards for performing risk assessments and assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of controls. This position within the CoE is accountable for leading and driving all aspects of the timely execution of high-quality risk assessments, monitoring for and assessing potential impacts of new rules and regulations, establishing relationships with senior business leaders, reporting key performance indicators, playing a key role in team initiatives, and mentoring team members.
The Expertise You Have
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred Prior experience in financial services, risk management, audit, or compliance required Solid understanding of alternative investment products, including partnerships, crypto, real estate, etc. Strong understanding of Financial Services Regulations and Requirements (i.e., SEC, FINRA, CFTC, NFA, etc.) and experience assessing regulatory impacts on compliance programs Knowledge of investment management practices and strategies, particularly within the alternative and digital assets space Leader with ability to navigate and influence across the organization Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills evidencing the ability to think and act strategically Shown success in collaborative leadership and working with executive leaders and internal business partnersThe Skills You Bring

Continuously analyzing and assessing the risk profile of the businesses the CoE supports Consistently review and maintain the control inventory and managing overlap with other compliance programs to promote a philosophy of test once, leverage multiple times Mentor team members to improve their performance, knowledge, and expertise Proactively managing risks and responding to emerging issues Developing innovative solutions and influencing meaningful outcomes Serving as a trusted advisor to the business Collaborating to achieve the best results for the team and Fidelity Establishing positive relationships across multiple businesses within Fidelity
The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$169,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
