ResponsibilitiesWe have an opportunity for a Risk Management Field Consultant to join our Berkley One team! This role is dedicated to helping our high net worth clients reduce their exposure to loss. By working collaboratively with our agency partners and internal stakeholders, you will develop customized loss prevention strategies for our clients and help ensure their assets are covered by the most appropriate levels of insurance.
The ideal candidate will have Personal Lines risk management experience in the High Net Worth space and be able to cover primarily the Massachusetts and surrounding New England territory. A company car will be provided.

Key functions include but are not limited to:
Perform detailed surveys of client properties for the purpose of identifying underwriting concerns, potential hazards and most likely causes of loss, developing risk mitigation strategies, facilitating solutions to these concerns, determining appropriate levels of insurance to value and when appropriate, identify account rounding opportunities for our agency partnersWhile relying on past experience and knowledge, demonstrate expertise in managing exposures cause by water damage, homes under construction, personal safety and security, natural disasters and other perils typical to the territory and clienteleManage Independent Appraisers outside of your territory and use virtual tools when feasibleClearly communicate to clients, agency partners and internal stakeholders one’s findings and determinations and work to develop a plan to mitigate risk in a manner consistent with Berkley One’s philosophyPerform other duties intended to develop relationships with agency partners. Support Berkley One’s growth in assigned territory by articulating our value proposition and services compared to the competitionQualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience5+ year experience in personal insurance risk management, loss control, construction, residential or commercial appraising, underwriting, property claims or a related field positionAbility to identify potential causes of loss and develop appropriate recommendationsAbility to recognize various construction practices and understand building costs and associated issuesStrong insurance and business acumen as well as experience in the high net worth marketplaceScheduling flexibility and occasional extended hours in order to meet the needs of the customerPeriodic overnight travel and evening or weekend appointments may be required.Advanced proficiency with e2value or other valuation softwareIncredible empathy and understanding of the needs of customers, both insureds and their agents alikeAble to be a pro-active advocate for Berkley One customers and are passionate about their brand experienceExceptional oral and written communication skills, a communication style flexible to the situation, and able to communicate clearly and with a purposeA strong sense of accountability and ownershipNatural curiosity, a love of learning how things work and always on the lookout for innovative improvements Additional Company Details We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting firms.
