Extra Space is currently hiring for a Risk Management Intern at our corporate office located in **Salt Lake City, UT** . At Extra Space, the Risk Management Team is responsible for minimizing financial exposure to the business by identifying, mitigating, and transferring risk, most commonly through the purchase of insurance products. The team also is responsible for protecting employees, our company’s assets, and our customers’ goods, through loss control and safety initiatives. The risk management Intern will support all facets of the risk management organization which include claims, insurance procurement, safety, and tenant insurance. The position will allow the candidate to have a direct impact on the risk management organization while learning about insurance, risk management, storage, and the broader Extra Space organization. *****This is an on-site position based in Salt Lake City, UT, starting in the summer of 2025.***** Primary Responsibilities + Assist with billing and invoicing for insurance related activities. + Help maintain database of property information needed for insurance renewals. + Provide data entry support for risk management information system. + Support claims team in administering and managing workers compensation and general liability claims. + Support the risk team with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and allocations.
