Risk Management - Trade Risk Associate

As an Associate on the Commerical and Investment Bank (CIB) Trade Credit Risk (TCR) team, you will evaluate new transactions, monitor the portfolio and develop risk policies. You will collaborate with the Global Trade & Working Capital (TWC) team to foster a strong risk culture and address risk issues. The team oversees credit control for trade finance initiatives that enhance clients' supply chain management and working capital efficiency. TCR's main responsibilities include approving trade finance transactions, managing credit exposure, and developing new trade products. The risk portfolio includes supply chain finance, structured trade solutions, export credit agency loans, trade loans, and letters of credit across North and Latin America. **Job Responsibilities** + Review new originations/renewals of Sales Finance (receivables financing) and Inventory Finance transactions for which TCR is the Credit Responsibility Unit (CRU) (concentrated in North America) + Assist Global Trade and Working Capital first line of defense, Global Corporate banking and Coverage on requests to the Credit team for credit lines to support new business (for products booked outside the TCR CRU) and advise Credit on suitability of product for a given counterparty or suitability of the structure at transaction level + Undertake regular transaction and portfolio-level monitoring, developing dynamically as the portfolio grows and adds new product variations + Interact with Global Trade and Working Capital first line of defense teams to voice risk views and solutions to transactions in the pipeline + Provide risk management decision on variations from standard documentation and/or product policy & guidelines + Collaborate closely with Trade Management, Trade Sales, Credit Risk and Legal + Partner with key stakeholders to review new structures, policy exceptions and control solutions + Participate in Regional Risk & Country Committees + Partner with Trade Risk counterparts in other regions to share best practices + Provide training on trade products & associated risks to JPM internal partners + Attend industry events as needed **Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills** + Minimum 3 years of experience in a related role (e.g. Credit Risk, Trade Risk) with strong credit skills + Demonstrated ability to operate in a time-sensitive environment while multi-tasking + Curious intellectual & business acumen with desire to drive solutions + Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation + Good interpersonal skills with aptitude to influence decision process + Self-starter with track record in collaborative efforts with other constituents who may have different backgrounds, risk understanding, skill sets and priorities + Experience interpreting and negotiating legal documentation **Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills** + Experience in counterparty credit risk with an interest in Trade + Experience in structured finance and/or asset-based lending transactions JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
