Risk ManagerNOTE: The following position is for a proposed new/future business within Transdev. Only candidates meeting the work experience requirements will be considered. Transdev seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Risk Manager to oversee risk assessment, mitigation, and compliance strategies within our transit operations. This role is critical in ensuring the safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of public transportation services, including bus, rail, and paratransit systems. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy. Key Responsibilities:Risk Identification & Assessment:Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across all transit operations.Identify potential safety, operational, financial, and reputational risks.Risk Mitigation & Strategy:Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and safety protocols.Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to reduce exposure.Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transit regulations (e.g., FTA, DOT, OSHA).Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and legislative changes.Incident Response & Investigation:Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses.Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.Training & Communication:Provide risk management training to staff and operators.Communicate risk policies and procedures across departments.Data Analysis & Reporting:Analyze risk data and trends to inform decision-making.Prepare regular reports for executive leadership and stakeholders.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Public Administration, Transportation, or related field (Master’s preferred).5+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in a transit or transportation environment.Strong knowledge of transit operations, safety standards, and regulatory frameworks.Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.Certification in risk management (e.g., CRM, ARM) is a plus.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks.Experience with transit technologies and safety management systems (SMS).Proficiency in risk analysis tools and software. Physical Requirements: Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.The work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.  About Transdev: Cities, counties, airports, companies, and universities across the U.S. contract with Transdev to operate their transportation systems, maintain their vehicle and fleets, and deliver on mobility solutions.
