Responsible for analyzing corporate risk and developing company strategy to minimize and manage risk exposure. Maintains effective relationships with several third party vendors and negotiates with vendors to obtain most cost effective insurance programs.Design and implement an overall risk management process with the goal of reducing total cost of risk while maintaining appropriate financial protection.Establish acceptable levels and types of risk to be managed through the Company’s global insurance program. Manages the placement and renewal process of the corporate global insurance program inclusive of identification and assessing of risks, collection of data, preparation of underwriting submission and policy review.Manages risk administration inclusive of bond program, contract reviews for contractual requirements, certificate of insurance, insurance audits and loss reports, ensuring compliance in all areas.Prepares relevant reporting materials for senior level management and the Board of Directors.Manages successful relations with brokers, underwriters, and other external vendors on a continuous basis.Manages the financial operations of the department inclusive of budgeting, forecasting, premium allocation, collateral programs and invoicing.Oversees management of general liability and workers compensation claims and loss control activities.Collaborates with the Law Department and Operations on claims management strategies.Assist Leadership with the Enterprise Risk Management assessment.Leadership role in the Company’s business continuity planning activities.Responsible for approximately $3-4M insurance spend annually.Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:5+ years progressively responsible risk management experience, emphasizing placement of insurance and claims management.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is requiredARM, CIC, licensed claims adjuster or other equivalent professional designations/licenses required.Must be able to travel internationallyQualified candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge and experience using risk management software is desirable. High level interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across stakeholder groups and manage difficult communications situations is required.Good oral and written communication skills, with effective presentation skills.Good organizational and time management skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks with little or no supervision.Ability to perform job functions in a competent, professional, customer-oriented, and confidential manner.Working Conditions
Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
