Risk Manager

Develops and implements a comprehensive Risk Management Plan (RMP) for the EDAT program, ensuring the effective identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks. This role will involve collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Program Manager and Quality Management Specialist, to maintain a robust risk management framework that aligns with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Risk Management Plan Development:

Develop and implement a TO-level Risk Management Plan (RMP) in coordination with the Program Manager, aligning with project objectives and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with the Quality Management Specialist to establish processes and thresholds for the escalation and resolution of problems, issues, and risks.

Coordinate with EDAT leadership stakeholders, including PM, business operations, field operations, and TDP management, to understand the full risk landscape and implement necessary corrective actions.

Risk Identification and Assessment:

Maintain the TO-level risk register and opportunity matrix, ensuring it is current and reflective of the project environment.

Conduct detailed risk assessments to identify potential risks with TO-wide impact, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate the severity and likelihood of each risk.

Risk Mitigation Strategies:

Develop strategies and action plans to reduce, eliminate, or transfer risks, prioritizing risk management efforts based on the potential impact on the program.

Implement measures to control or mitigate risks, ensuring that all actions are documented and communicated effectively.

Policy and Procedure Updates:

Update Risk and Opportunity Management (R&OM) policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current risks and opportunities, as well as regulatory requirements.

Training and Awareness:

Educate and train staff on risk and opportunity awareness, R&OM policies and procedures, and specific risk mitigation strategies to foster a culture of risk management throughout the organization.

Continuous Monitoring and Reporting:

Continuously monitor the risk landscape and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies, making adjustments as necessary.

Report on R&OM activities, findings, and outcomes to senior management and relevant stakeholders, providing insights into the overall risk posture of the program.

Participation in Governance:

Actively participate in the Risk and Opportunity Review Board, contributing to discussions on risk management strategies and program performance.

Documentation and Approach Development:

Responsible for developing and documenting the approach to risk management within the Project Management Plan (PMP), ensuring comprehensive integration into project execution.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management within IT or government contracting environments, with a focus on project management.

Proven track record of developing and implementing risk management frameworks and strategies.

Strong analytical skills to assess risks quantitatively and qualitatively, with the ability to develop actionable insights.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Proficient in risk management software and tools, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices.
